ISG provided Monitoring and Evaluation services to the International Organization for Migration for a program to deliver food and non-food items to vulnerable families in Iraq.
Evaluation of Community Assistance Program (CAP)
IOM contracted ISG to conduct a two-week evaluation of the CAP process and guidelines to determine. ISG conducted multiple focus group in order to gain a strong understanding of the current process and how the guidelines are being used. Using the information received from the focus group, ISG was able to submit a final, edited, user- friendly version of the CAP guidelines that are currently in use.
M&E of Community Assistance and Development Projects
ISG conducted evaluations of Ockenden International’s (OI) programming in the Southern Governorates of Iraq. Projects were evaluated across two separate phases of field visits. The programs that were evaluated included; Legal Aid Centers, Community Mobilization, Income Generation, and Monitoring activities within the governorates of Missan, Kerbala, and Wassit. Upon completion of the evaluations, a report with recommendations was submitted to Ockenden International.
Dialogue on Democratic Values in the Arab World
ISG provides monitoring and evaluation services for the Club of Madrid’s Dialogue on Democratic Values in the Arab World Project. The project, with funding from the European Commission’s Initiative for Democracy and Human Rights and the United Nations Democracy Fund, promotes dialogue between government and civil society interlocutors in Bahrain, Jordan and Morocco, focusing on the issue of freedom of association as a key component in democratic reform. ISG’s main task is to ensure that the project goals of increased dialogue is occurring and providing real-time feedback and recommendations to ensure the continuity of the project.
Evaluation of Youth Programming
ISG provided evaluation services to the Eurasia Foundation (EF) in Azerbaijan, for an ongoing youth-oriented program. The programs main goal is to create youth councils that, in conjunction with local actors and officials, identify and address development issues. ISG was brought in to evaluate the processes and outcomes of the program. ISG provided EF with a report indicating recommendations as to how to streamline the processes and improve the overall outcomes of the project.
Enhance Productivity Program (EPP) Evaluation
ISG has been contracted to conduct an evaluation the EPP program. The program is an initiative by the Jordan government to “adopt a comprehensive developmental approach to improve the standard of living for all Jordanians, especially rural and disadvantaged individuals, by creating and increasing access to opportunities for productivity gains in each of the governorates.” (UNDP)
Empowering Women and Promoting National Reconciliation
ISG has been contracted to perform an evaluation that will assess the implementing partner’s ability achieve the objectives of the project; to empower women and and foster national unity and inter-communal reconciliation. Upon completion of this evaluation, ISG will provide a detailed report with insights and recommendations.
Enabling the Constitution on Disabilities
ISG has been contracted to perform an evaluation that will assess the implementing partner’s ability achieve the objectives of the project; to spread awareness of the rights of disabled persons to policy makers and the general public and if the awareness has led to an increase of disabled persons’ participation and representation in public and political life. Upon completion of this evaluation, ISG will provide a detailed report with insights and recommendations.
Campaign to Dispel Sectarian Strife and Promote National Unity in Basrah
ISG has been contracted to perform an evaluation that will assess the implementing partner’s ability achieve the objective of the project; to mitigate strife and promote national unity among Basrawi youth. Upon completion of this evaluation, ISG will provide a detailed report with insights and recommendations.
Education Animated TV Production on Women’s Rights
ISG has been contracted to perform an evaluation that will assess the implementing partner’s ability achieve the objective of the project; to deepen public understanding and awareness of women’s rights, educate youth and persons with special needs on democratic rights and principles and to create a platform for dialogue among communities. Upon completion of this evaluation, ISG will provide a detailed report with insights and recommendations.
Strategic Economic Needs and Security Exercise (SENSE)
ISG has evaluated USIP’s Strategic Economic Needs and Security Exercise (SENSE) program in Iraq. The main task of the evaluation was to determine whether a transfer of capacity and knowledge for facilitating the program occurred between USIP and an Iraq-based implementing partner. ISG spoke with staff from both the Iraq-based implementing partner and USIP in order to determine how much transferred occurred. ISG has provided USIP with a detailed report of the findings, including recommendations and next steps.
Remote Monitoring Assessment
ISG was contracted to conduct an assessment of a remote monitoring modality system. The main purpose of the assessment was to review lessons learned to date and strengthen the monitoring system. ISG was able to provide key recommendations with concrete examples as to how to strengthen the monitoring system. The recommendations were to be incorporated into a reference guide. |
